Thank you for supporting Nāku Noa!

We are a small whānau pakihi (business) based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). 

Like many other whānau, ours is on a collective journey to learn and grow te reo Māori within our whānau and hapori, both Māori and tauiwi alike. 

The initial idea for Nāku Noa was born out of a desire to ensure that the tamariki in our whānau have the opportunity to see, hear and share te reo Māori wherever, whenever! 

As our nieces and nephews huritau (birthdays) approached each year, we struggled to find kāri that were both in te reo Māori and bought joy and colour to their special days. We felt guilty buying them English cards that had words on them they didn't know  - and so Nāku Noa was born.

Everyone in our whānau has a part to play in Nāku Noa, from initial ideas for new kāri, design, translation, marketing and of course the approval, done by the youngest members of the whānau. Our Matariki 2025 collection was even designed by our two nieces (aged 10 and 11).
